Very nice work Darin.
I looked at this and straight away thought, "either Terragen or GeoControl2/Vue"...
May I ask; what sort of postwork do you do in PS?
It looks like it's straight out of Vue.
Or is it just levels, colours, etc?
Keep up the great work - it's an inspiration for those like me who are just starting their space art travels....

Thank you very much. :) As far as postwork I did a levels adjustment, brightened the sun a bit, and painted the upper clouds. The planet was a separate Vue render using a custom texture, I added it in photoshop.

Hi,
Sorry for my delay in replying; I think I might have my notifications turned off - now I need to find where to turn it on.
Do you have any tutorials online showing how you have created some of your images?
I also use Vue and Photoshop but am only at the beginning of really learning image creation.
It's one thing to know how to use a program but something totally different knowing how to use it to create imagery of a standard that I am willing to show others.............
Cheers
Erwin

I don't have any tutorials, but there are a lot out there that I learned from. "Capturing the Brilliance of Light" by Quadspinner is a really good starting point. [link]

I have almost all of QS's tutorials and a fair amount of his content also.
What I am looking to learn is integration of GC2, Vue and Photoshop to create imagery; whether it be space-related, fantasy, palaeoart, whatever.
I am slowly getting there but when I see work such as yours [which is very much in the style that I am aiming for] - I have to ask.
I have your Apophysis tutorial, but that's been all I have been able to find.
Thanks for responding; all the best.
